EVENING STANDARD Cab Gallery Retrospective In September 1999, Jason Brown hit on an ingenious way of combining his unique joint talents as taxi driver and art collector. Ever since, his roving art gallery-cum-taxicab has kept passengers entertained and made fleeting appearances at private views. It's the end of the road for the project, so it's parked up with the latest text-work by New York conceptual artist Lawrence Weiner, and a host of past gems, including a dyslexic door sign by Bob and Roberta Smith and a rendition of De Niro's dialogue in Taxi Driver by Abigail Cohen. |
