RAY RICHARDSON Ray made two specific works for Cab Gallery; each an image
taken from a painting and silkscreened onto canvas. Influenced by pulp-fiction,
soul music, and with an intuitive grasp of portraying 'characters', his
work mirrors perfectly the types you might see when travelling through
the London streets. Described as the "Martin Scorsese of figurative painting",
Ray's cinematic compositions, and narrative qualities echo the atmosphere
of the taxi journey. |
