I Love Tim Berners-Lee
This piece hangs from the driver's rear-view mirror. The image on the
heart is an etched portrait of Tim Berner-Lee, credited as the founder
of the world wide web. Much of Nick Crowe's work concentrates both on
the computer as a portal for art, and also the mechanics of computer technology.
While the functions and components of computers are beyond the comprehension
of most, the mechanics still rely on light being refracted through glass.
'I Love Tim Berners-Lee' marries very succinctly the abstract ideas of
computer technology to the human input responsible for this technology.
